SCC Inclusive Apprenticeships
It's never been more important to offer opportunities to local young people and Surrey County Council wants to be a trailblazer to showcase the opportunities and rewards that employing young people with additional needs can bring to employers.
The Inclusive Apprentice Project has been set up and funded through Surrey County Council’s Preparation for Adulthood programme and is designed for young people with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
This is the second year of the project as we had a very successful first year, which realised employment opportunities for 7 apprentices across the council, whose apprenticeships started in September 2021.
Surrey County Council is delighted to offer a further 16 apprenticeship posts within its Inclusive Apprenticeship Project starting in September 2022. Apprenticeships will offer employment to young people whilst they study for a formal qualification.
The apprentices will be employed on fixed term contracts that typically run for 18 – 24 months. The starting salary for this position is £15,158 per annum, based on a 36-hour working week and 20% off the job.
Inclusive Apprenticeship job adverts open on 23/05/2022.
Interviews are expected to take place on week commencing 27/06/2022.
