EBSNA Survey Results
We have been working with Surrey Youth Focus who have been absolutely incredible at analysing the data from the survey we ran earlier this year. We are delighted to now be able to share these findings with you.
We would like to thank each and everyone of you who took the time to complete the survey and share your experiences. We were totally overwhelmed by the response; the qualitative data was incredibly hard to read but equally powerful at really highlighting the reality of living with a child who is experiencing EBSNA. The qualitative data clearly identified the scale of EBSNA in Surrey.
We are fully committed to continue our work with Surrey Youth Focus in ensuring that the services in Surrey fully understand what EBSNA is and what it isn't, and to work with them to find ways to support children and their families. We will be moving onto the second stage of our survey which is gathering more in depth stories from families on the themes that have emerged from the survey, we will share more information on this work soon.
Please see the attached links for the documents of these findings 'Families experience of Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance (EBSNA)' and 'Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance (EBSNA) Overview of survey undertaken by Family Voice Surrey'.
