September

8th September (Wednesday 11.00am) 'School Anxiety Chat'

Do you have a child or young person who struggles with attending school or college? If so you may like to join our friendly support group.

There is a WhatsApp group for day-to-day chat and we also have regular Zoom catch-ups - currently on the second Wednesday of each month at 11am.

Email reigatebanstead@familyvoicesurrey.org for joining details.

16th September (Thursday 11.00am) 'Meet Action for Carers!'

Many people are unaware of the countless ways Action for Carers Surrey can support SEND parent carers. Senior Advisers Jacqui MacLean and Sally Burton will be discussing the practical, financial, legal and emotional aspects of assisting caregivers. Not to mention opportunities to look after your physical and mental health and wellbeing too. This event will be hosted by our coordinators Sara (Waverely) and Emily (Runnymede).

Email waverley@familyvoicesurrey.org for joining details and to book your place.

20th September (Monday 6.30pm) '16+ Group'

Calling Surrey parents of 16-25 year-olds! You’re invited to join our monthly online 16+ group. Come along to chat with other parent carers of young people with additional needs, exchange tips and advice, and hear from expert speakers. We focus on a different topic each month. On Monday 20/9/21 from 6.30 - 8.00pm, Conrad Benefield, Senior Commissioning Officer - Children's Health and Wellbeing Commissioning, Surrey County Council, joins us to talk about the county’s Short Breaks services. The group meets via Zoom, and the FVS co-hosts are Gretta Schifano (Tandridge Coordinator) & Lucy Young (Reigate & Banstead Coordinator)

Email tandridge@familyvoicesurrey.org for joining details.
