Book now! Annual event & AGM 2017
Once again, our annual event has something to offer everyone - whether you're a parent or carer of a child with special educational needs, or a professional working with SEND families. This year, we are delighted to welcome Councillor Clare Curran, cabinet member for children, to open our event. We also have some great workshop speakers, including author of "The Special Parent's Handbook", Yvonne Newbold, and dyslexia specialist Julia Rowlandson.
You have a choice of workshops on topics including managing challenging behaviour, graduated SEN support in schools, tips on supporting children with dyslexia and writing effective EHC plans. There are also focus groups running on CAMHS (Children & Adolescent Mental Health Service) and Speech & Language therapy, and a Q&A session with Surrey's designated clinical officer for SEND. Plus there'll be the marketplace, where you can gather information from a range of support organisations in Surrey, pamper sessions to help you relax, and lunch - with an opportunity to chat to some of Surrey's county councillors.
