Free event for parent carers in Staines
Parenting a child is full of challenges - but parenting a child with additional needs brings additional ones! If you feel you’d like some expert help, and would like to meet other parent carers in similar situations, then come along to a free event at Hythe Centre, Staines on 22 March.
Laura Kerbey, founder of PAST (Positive Autism Support and Training) and Happy Healthy Me!, will be sharing her experiences and tips for how to manage some of those tricky situations. In a two-hour session, Laura will look at sensory needs and behaviour, suggest some positive behaviour management techniques and look at how you can build your own resilience.
The session, organised by Family Voice Surrey, is funded by the Community Foundation for Surrey, an independent charitable trust established to inspire local giving for local need. The Community Foundation works both with donors who want to give something back to their local communities and the voluntary groups providing vital services for local people.
You can book a place on either a daytime (11am-1pm) or evening (7pm-9pm) session. For more details and to book, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01372 705708.
