Trustees needed for new Family Voice board
Family Voice Surrey is looking for trustees with strategic vision and a passion for children and young people to form our first board as we move to becoming a Charitable Incorporated Organisation.
As a trustee joining FVS at this exciting time you will help lead our development and make a difference to families across Surrey by:
actively contributing to the Board, giving firm strategic direction to the organisation,
acting as an ambassador for the organisation
ensuring FVS complies with its governing documents and other legislation
ensuring the financial stability of the organisation
attending board meetings (six a year including the AGM), away days and planning days
taking an active part of sub-committees as required
We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with specialised knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas:
Education, health and social care services for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities
Financial management , ideally professionally qualified and with experience in the charitable sector
Communications and fund raising in the charitable sector
Applications from parent carers or family members of children or young people with special educational needs or disabilities will be particularly welcome.
Trustees are appointed for three years and may be appointed for two subsequent terms.
