Last year, our annual satisfaction survey received over 275 responses, providing valuable evidence for us to use in support of the need for change. Members told us how they felt the local authority measured up to its service values, and how easy or difficult it had been to get the support they needed for their child or young person with disabilities or additional needs. The evidence we gathered was instrumental in initiating a review across the whole of SEND. Free event for parent carers in Caterham

Understanding a child with additional needs’ behaviours and obsessions is central to helping them develop and deal with the world around them. But how do we do this? If you feel you’d like some expert help, and would like to meet other parent carers in similar situations, then come along to a free event at Caterham United Reformed Church on 25 January 2017 . Your experiences of SEND transport needed

We have started working with Surrey County Council on a project to redesign the SEND transport system. The local authority's aim is to improve outcomes for children, young people and families/carers. The new commissioning programme is working alongside Family Voice Surrey, schools, providers and partners to provide an affordable transport offer that works better for all. Over the months ahead there will be a number of events around the county for parent carers, children and young people, where you can feedback on your experiences of transport.
